@ About Last Night.....
Biography & Highlights
You're standing right on the concrete outside @ About Last Night..... while the bass rattles your teeth before you even hand over your ID. The door guy's got a clipboard and a permanent scowl, and there's always a knot of people smoking by the curb while soundcheck bleeds through the brick walls. You walk in and it's dark as hell, just red neon behind the bottles and the smell of stale draft beer mixed with floor cleaner.
The room is tiny, basically a narrow rectangle where you can't escape the amp stack no matter where you stand. Floors are coated in black tape and old stickers from bands nobody remembers. Bartenders are fast, pouring cheap cans and rail drinks without making eye contact, and you'll drop five bucks on a tip just because the wait is brutal. Sound board is squeezed right into the back corner next to a stack of milk crates.
Monitors squeal every ten minutes and the vocal mics feedback if the singer steps two inches too far left. It's loud, hot, and you'll leave with your ears ringing for two days straight while you wait for your Uber in the freezing wind.
